Lindenmeyr Munroe's Great Paper Chase
Community

On Sept. 25, an after-work crowd of more than 1,000 graphic designers, purchasing managers, and printers packed the historical Puck Building in the Big Apple for Lindenmeyr Munroe's Annual Corporate Reports Show.

Neo Design Group, New York, enticed attendees with a colorful invitation that showcased six different stocks in six different colors donated by four paper manufacturers and printed by Wheal-Grace of Belleville, N.J.

The chocolate brown envelope in 70-lb. text from French Paper (Speckletone) featured a platinum white writing label from Mohawk's Strathmore collection. The invite itself consisted of a yellow vellum wrap from Curious (Cromatica) and a spring green invite in 80-lb. cover from Neenah (Classic Columns). The RSVP 80-lb. cover card in Pacific blue was also from Neenah (Eames Furniture), and an 80-lb. cover die-cut apple—to go along with Lindenmeyr's theme of taking a bite "into New York's finest crop" in scarlet was supplied by Mohawk (Via, felt) and die cut by Fox Bindery Inc. of Quakertown, Pa.

Twenty-two of the country's leading paper manufacturers and mills showcased award-winning annual reports, promotional materials, and swatchbooks bursting with new, environmentally friendly papers, while knowledgeable representatives offered insight into industry trends and suggestions on how best to achieve specific creative objectives using paper.

Thanks to the competitive offerings from the paper mills, designers had an impressive collection of giveaways to choose from. Major paper manufacturers exhibiting included Crane & Co., CTI Paper USA, Curious Paper, Domtar, FiberMark, Finch Paper, Gmund, Gruppo Cordenons, International Paper, M-Real USA, Mactac, MeadWestvaco, Mohawk Paper, Monadnock Paper, National Envelope, Neenah Paper, NewPage, Reich Paper, Sappi, Smart Papers, Stora Enso, and Yupo.
