Mark Crosby, president of Printelligent, announced an exclusive reseller offering of the Edgeline CM 8060/8050 Multifunction Printer (MFP), manufactured by Hewlett-Packard (HP) with print, copy, fax, and scan functionality, and the industry’s most affordable general office color printing – as low as five cents per-page – promising a breakthrough in the high cost of color printing in the office.
Printelligent is one of 47 exclusive HP Edgeline resellers in the U.S. requiring significant commitments to technical and sales personnel, demonstration devices, and top-level HP business partner status. Printelligent was recently accepted as a charter member of the HP Office Printing Channel Program and named an Office Printing Solutions Elite Partner. Printelligent views its Edgeline MFP offering as a significant strategic tool for optimizing document environments.
HP’s Edgeline revolutionary ink-based process greatly improves productivity while lowering the cost of color printing. A unique print-head array results in a very quick print process at 50 pages per minute. “In the past, color printing has been too slow and too expensive for some businesses to justify hardware purchases,” said Crosby. “This device is rewriting the future of color printing in the office.”
Printelligent offers a Managed Print Solution at a per-page rate. Until now, color per-page printing rates have varied from 12 to 18 cents a page, depending on the printer. The HP ink-based Edgeline technology allows general office color printing for as low as five cents per page. Edgeline offers three color printing categories: professional, general office and accent color (i.e., a colorized logo on a business letter). Accent color printing rates are equal to monochrome rates at about a penny a page. “The potential savings on Edgeline per-page print rates has turned the heads of our clients, and will absolutely bring more color into today’s business practices,” said Crosby.
Printelligent customers enjoy the benefits of working with one trusted provider for all printer needs. Clients receive remote monitoring of printer fleets, supplies and service on-demand, as well as tailored management reports regarding the company’s networked printers. Ongoing reviews reveal over/under utilized printers and recommendations for strategic printer purchases. Printers are placed to serve the needs of employees, and maximize printer use by funneling the majority of print volume to lowest cost printers. Service costs are summarized in a quarterly invoice including all print-related costs.
